JANUARY 2026 INITIATES A NEW ASCHMANN CENTER CLASS OF 11 STUDENTS

 22 Aschmann Center students completed their academic requirements in year 2025. After taking a short respite from teaching responsibilities Felipe and his maestros became aware of 11 more youth interested in Bible training and discipleship. They formed a new class of 11 students (2 year curriculum) in January, 2026. Like the first class in 2018 thru 2020 the lessons will be held in the training center in Nanacatlan. Most of the youth are from the local church or nearby villages, so they don't have to travel a long distance to attend class at the Center. Also, the maestros do not need to travel to remote locations.


 

Josmar Luna teaches from a Paul and Timothy curriculum  developed by Felipe Ramos and his trained helpers. Josmar will complete his seminary training in December of this year and become an accredited Aschmann instructor. 

Please pray for our homegrown missionary students who are answering the call of God to prepare themselves for Christian ministry and for Josmar who left his aspirations of being a veterinarian to serve God training others in Biblical doctrine.

2 Timothy 2:2, 8  

 The things that which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

  Dear Friends of the Totonacs, Felipe Ramos carries the torch forward in 2024 by overseeing the training and discipling of 46 students through the Herman Aschmann Training Center. 36 are in their first of two years of Bible school education. The other 10 are our teachers and advanced students who are studying printed materials from SETECA (Central American Theological Seminary).  Like his mentors before him, Felipe sends his students back to their villages and churches to become leaders and pastors. He also acknowledges, the training and ministry is most effective when done in the Highland Totonac language that his people understand best. Our teachers go out each Saturday to provide classes in 4 or 5 training locations. In two other large congregations local   pastors who share our vision teach the   Aschmann curriculum to students from their home churches and from nearby villages.    REPORTE DEL MINISTERIO  AÑO 2025 Amados hermanos, Dios nos ha dado el privilegio de servirle un año más y esto ha sido de grande bendición. El programa radial continua llevando la Palabra de Dios a muchas personas. Hemos recibido testimonios de personas, que por alguna razón habían dejado de congregarse, pero que gracias al programa se han levantado de nuevo y ahora se están congregando y sirviendo al Señor. También hemos sabido de personas que  han aceptado a Jesús como su Salvador. Uno de estos testimonios  es el de Daniel Hernández de Piedras de Afilar, Veracruz. Pudimos visitarlo y nos llevó a una capilla católica porque allí es donde el asiste, allí nos dijo lo siguiente: “ yo llevo más de 40 años que empecé a escuchar el programa de radio y hasta hoy Dios me esta bendiciendo, con mi familia, mi siembra, mis animales y en todo. TASTE OF TRANSLATION JANUARY 2024

Thirty men and women from 3 different Totonac regions gather in Nanacatlan in January, 2024 for a “Taste of Translation” workshop. UNTI (Wycliffe Bible Translators affiliate organization) sponsored the 2 day training. The purpose of the meetings was to study the likelihood of success of translating the Old Testament into Totonac and to teach translation skills to those assembled. 2 members of team Nanacatlan display their village map that identifies where Totonac or the Spanish language is spoken. This exercise helps the Christian workers visualize how best to spread the Gospel in their village.
