TASTE OF TRANSLATION JANUARY 2024

Thirty men and women from 3 different Totonac regions gather in Nanacatlan in January, 2024 for a “Taste of Translation” workshop. UNTI (Wycliffe Bible Translators affiliate organization) sponsored the 2 day training. The purpose of the meetings was to study the likelihood of success of translating the Old Testament into Totonac and to teach translation skills to those assembled. 2 members of team Nanacatlan display their village map that identifies where Totonac or the Spanish language is spoken. This exercise helps the Christian workers visualize how best to spread the Gospel in their village.   December 5, 2023 Dear Friends of the Totonacs,   MERRY CHRISTMAS 2023 !   Manuel Arenas' dream was to have a school to provide training for pastors and leaders of the Totonac tribe in their mother tongue. Now Manuel’s dream continues through the Herman Aschmann Memorial Training Center in Felipe’s Ramos’s village of Nanacatlan.   Reporte de Ministerio Año 2023 Nanacatlán, Zapotitlán de Méndez, Puebla   Los segundos, minutos y las horas que dejamos para expresar a Dios las necesidades de su pueblo nunca ha sido un tiempo en vano. El siempre nos ha respondido salvando a la gente de la perdición y trayéndolos a los pies de Cristo para aceptarlo como su Salvador (Sal.37:4,5).   Mis amados hermanos, les agradezco mucho sus oraciones por mi familia y el trabajo entre la gente totonaca, me complace compartir con ustedes lo que Dios ha hecho en las diferentes áreas de trabajo.   Gracias a Dios por los programas de radio que cada sábado y domingo se transmiten en Poza Rica Veracruz.   Somos testigos de cómo estos mensajes han alcanzado a personas que nunca antes habían escuchado el mensaje de salvación.
